Challenging Practice. Essentials for the social production of habitat is an independent training program developed by several of associations part of Architecture Sans Frontières International network (namely, ASF España, ASF France, ASF UK, ASF Sweden and ASF Italia).

Challenging Practice is conceived for architects, urban designers and planners, engineers, conservationists and designers (both students and practitioners) who are interested in all the challenges with great impact on global development (such as rapid growth and urbanization processes, conditions of increasing social inequalities, vulnerability to natural disasters, and so forth). Every year, since 2012, we follow new participants all along this training course, which is articulated in three different modules: a theoretical introduction (to ground the main questions), a two-day seminar (to experiment theoretical background with ASF trainers) and a final workshop (to test on the ground what participants have learned all along the course).
